Alison McWhinney is an acclaimed Australian ballet artist and most recently Senior Soloist with Queensland Ballet, following a distinguished career at English National Ballet, where she rose to First Soloist and earned major accolades including the Genee Silver Medal, the Prix de Lausanne, and ENB’s Emerging Dancer Award. Known for her emotional depth and refined classical artistry, she has performed leading roles such as Juliet in Romeo & Juliet, Manon, Myrtha and Giselle, the Sylph in La Sylphide, and title roles in Cinderella and The Nutcracker. After nearly two decades abroad, Alison returned home in 2024 to join Queensland Ballet.
