With mentorship from seasoned professionals, rigorous training, and the thrill of live performance, this is your chance to grow, shine, and be part of something extraordinary.

Audition Information

General Auditions

Passionate students from all dance schools are welcome to audition, with all dancers given an equal opportunity to shine on the day. Auditions include a masterclass viewed by our Artistic Director (and guest adjudicators) in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The audition may include some repertoire/choreography and acting exercises.

  • To audition, dancers need to be studying Grade 2 RAD (or equivalent syllabus level) and be at least 8 years of age or above by the commencement of rehearsals.
  • Senior dancers can audition up to the age of 22.
  • Generally there are 4 levels: Junior Apprentice, Junior, Intermediate and Senior (further advice on levels is given below).

Successful dancers are advised by email. Once accepted into the company, dancers rehearse on Sundays during term, as well as some holiday intensives.

Video Auditions

In person auditions are preferable, however video auditions are available if you are unable to attend on the day. To be considered, applications, audition fees and videos must be submitted prior to the audition date. The video must include:

  • No more than 10 minutes of footage.
  • Barre Work: Plies, tendus, adage and grand battement.
  • Center work: Adage, center practice including pirouettes or pirouette preparation, warm-up allegro, and grand allegro (Junior level and above)

For Intermediates and Seniors:

  • Pointe work: echappes and releves, center practice including a pose arabesque and pose pirouettes en diagonal (if studied prior) OR a classical variation en pointe.

We aim to make this process as simple as possible, so students can be filmed during their regular classes, studio and teachers permitting. The video does not have to be high quality, just clearly showing the movement of the dancer not too far from the camera. No special filming techniques required.

Videos are to be sent as an accessible Youtube or Vimeo link. Straight Mp4 or any other formats will not be accepted. Links are to be included in the application form. Any missing information or unlabeled videos will not be accepted. Please ensure you have submitted your application and state ‘video application’ in the form.
