Sydney, 11 years of age, is delighted to join Ballet Theatre of Queensland for her second time in 2011. Sydney has been studying ballet since the age of seven with Kimberley Woodger Academy of Dance. She will undertake her Royal Academy of Dancing Intermediate Foundation examination later this year. She has obtained distinctions in all her grades to date.
In 2008, Sydney was accepted in to the Australian Ballet School's Interstate Training Program. She is now in Level Two and participates in intensive training in Melbourne a couple of times a year. In 2009, Sydney was very fortunate to be selected to perform in the Paris Opera Ballet's production of La Bayadere in Brisbane.
Sydney's goal is to enjoy the experience of dancing with Ballet Theatre of Queensland. One day Sydney hopes to join a large ballet company like the Australian Ballet Company, the Paris Opera Ballet or the New York City Ballet Company.
