Jamie

Jamie has always loved to dance and started classes at the age of two. He is now 11 years old and joined BTQ in 2009.

He has gained distinction for levels 1 to 5 in RAD classical exams and is currently studying Intermediate Foundation. He also plays the clarinet and loves to sing.

2009 was an exciting year for Jamie, dancing with The Paris Opera Ballet in their Brisbane season of La Bayadere, and with Ballet Theatre of Queensland in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

In 2010 Jamie was accepted into the Queensland Ballet's junior extension program and was thrilled to dance with the company in the Nutcracker last December. He has also been accepted into the Australian Ballet School's interstate program.

Jamie is looking forward to another season with BTQ. He hopes to pursue a career in dance, with the Queensland Ballet or The Australian Ballet, and would love to dance overseas.
