Amelia T

Amelia is 12 years old and is currently studying for her Intermediate exam.

This is Amelia's first year in the Queensland Ballet Junior Extension Program.  She is currently studying Advanced 1 and has been offered a full-time position at the Australian Ballet School in 2012, level 4.

Amelia competed in the finals of the Youth America Grand Prix in New York, in March 2011, winning 2 scholarships. She has competed in many eisteddfods winning “Most Outstanding Competitor” and “Most Promising Classical Dancer” on several occasions as well as “Grand Champion”, “Most Deserving All Rounder”, “Best Junior” amongst others. Recently she won the Junior Bursary at the Sunshine Coast Eisteddfod. She reached the semi-finals of the Alana Haines Australasian awards and the finals at the RAD Scholarship and SODA Junior Scholarship in Sydney.

She would like to join a professional ballet company when she is older and dance in different theatres and countries around the world.
