Alicia

Alicia is 14 years old and studies RAD Advanced 2. She joined Ballet Theatre of Queensland in May 2010.

Some of the highlights she has achieved are: 100% in Intermediate Foundation exam, winner of SODA Junior Scholarship in Sydney and selected for Queensland Ballet Junior Extension Program.

She was awarded the Encouragement Prize at the RAD Scholarship in 2008 and 2009. She has won many classical championships at various eisteddfods and has been awarded the “Most Promising Classical Dancer” (twice), the “Most Promising Junior Dancer” and the “Most Outstanding Dancer of the Wynnum Manly Eisteddfod, 2011”, amongst others. Alicia recently won the Repertoire at the Gold Coast Eisteddfod and was runner-up at Brisbane Eisteddfod, where she also won the Most Promising Dancer any age.

One of the highlights for Alicia in 2011 was her trip to New York to compete in the finals of the Youth America Grand Prix, where she was awarded 2 scholarships.

Her goal is to become a professional ballerina and travel all over the world with various ballet companies.
